Silver Standard resolves Export Duty Claim in Argentina

Silver Standard Resources Inc. (NASDAQ: SSRI) (TSX: SSO) ("Silver Standard") announced it has entered into the tax moratorium system in Argentina to resolve the dispute regarding the application of export duties on its Pirquitas mine.  Under the conditions of the moratorium, which converts the tax liability to Argentine pesos ("ARS"), Pirquitas has agreed to pay approximately ARS 1 billion with 5% paid upon entry and the balance in equal installments over 60 months. Outstanding ARS amounts are subject to interest at a rate of 1.5% per month. Upon completion of these payments all liabilities related to historical export duties and interest will be extinguished.

New CEO of the Datwyler Group

As was announced in spring 2016, Dirk Lambrecht took over management of the Datwyler Group as CEO on 1 January 2017. Paul Hälg, who held the position from 2004, stepped down at the end of 2016 and will be recommended for election to the post of Chairman at the Annual General Meeting in March 2017. He will succeed Ulrich Graf, who will be stepping down from his post for age-related reasons after 12 years at the 2017 Annual General Meeting.

Neuer CEO für Dätwyler Gruppe

Per 1. Januar 2017 hat Dirk Lambrecht, wie im Frühjahr 2016 angekündigt, als CEO die Führung der Dätwyler Gruppe übernommen. Paul Hälg, der die Funktion seit 2004 innehatte, ist per Ende 2016 zurückgetreten und wird der Generalversammlung im März 2017 zur Wahl als Verwaltungsratspräsident vorgeschlagen. Er tritt die Nachfolge von Ulrich Graf an, welcher sein Amt an der Generalversammlung 2017 nach zwölf Jahren altershalber zur Verfügung stellt.
