Grand Paris, a 500th Project for CBE Group

In the year of its 30th anniversary, French SME CBE Group has signed its 500th project, which will take place in France. At the beginning of the summer, CBE Group officialised its participation in the creation of Line 15 South of the Parisian metro, a part of the “Grand Paris Express” project. CBE Group will provide its client GIE Alliance with a carousel and several sets of moulds.

Fischer Heavy Duty Fixings in the Guiyang Metro Line 1 in China

The Middle Kingdom has been investing intensively in its infrastructure for years. This includes the expansion of the rail network in many cities and in the countryside. The Fischer Group of Companies is providing support to many of these large-scale projects with its fixing systems and on-site service solutions. For example, more than 750,000 Fischer fixings were used during the construction of the new metro line 1 in Guiyang, the capital of Guizhou province in Southwest China. Electrical cables, communication systems, guard doors and firefighting systems were securely and firmly installed using these fixings.

Robbins Slurry TBM ramps up for Mumbai Metro Line 3

 

The first of two Slurry TBMs, a rebuilt 6.65 m (21.8 ft) diameter machine, passed its factory acceptance on September 4, 2017 in Singapore. The machine, fitted with a Robbins cutterhead and outer shields, is destined for the Mumbai Metro Line 3 under contract UGC03 for the Dogus-Soma JV (DSJV), and will begin excavation in late 2017. The factory acceptance for a second 6.65 m (21.8 ft) diameter Slurry TBM will be conducted by the end of 2017.

German high-tech machines from Herrenknecht are creating underground arteries for the American city. Bangalore Fanfare Marks Final Breakthrough for Robbins EPB

 

On September 28, 2016, Bangalore’s last TBM for the city’s metro rail project broke through, marking the end of TBM tunneling on the Namma Metro phase 1. The Robbins-operated machine, known as “Krishna”, bored a 750 m (2,460 ft) drive through challenging conditions between Chickpet and Majestic stations. Cleanup and final commissioning of the tunnel will be completed in 2017, and is the last obstacle before owner Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd. (BMRCL) can open the Malleswaram-Majestic link. The TBM’s sister machine, “Kaveri”, completed a parallel tunnel in June 2016.

Herrenknecht Tunnel Borers taste Mountain Air in Ecuador

 

In Quito one of the highest metro systems in the world is currently being built. The first line will run over more than 20 kilometers through the elongated capital of Ecuador. At an altitude of more than 2,800 meters above sea level, from the spring of 2017 two recently completed Herrenknecht EPB Shields are set to work their way through the volcanic ground.

Signalling & Telecom Contract signed between DMRC and Contractors for the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Project in India

A signalling and Telecom (S&T) Contract for Noida-Greater Noida Metro project has been signed between the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) and representatives of Contractors at the Delhi Metro Headquarters at Metro Bhawan. As per the contract, the consortium of contractors will provide wireless Communication Based Train Contact (CBTC) System and all Telecommunication systems of display, CCTV etc. for all the 21 stations and one Depot under the Noida-Greater Noida Metro Rail project.
