Eldorado Gold today provides an update on its 100% owned Kisladag gold mine in Turkey. Kisladag is a low-grade, bulk-tonnage, open pit operation that uses heap leach for gold recovery. Kisladag has been in operation since 2006 and is Turkey's largest gold mine.

Endomines: Management Changes

Endomines has recruited a General Manager (“GM”) for its Pampalo Gold Mine and other operations at Karelian Gold Line, Finland. MSc (mining engineering) Seppo Tuovinen will take the post from the 1st of January 2017. Seppo Tuovinen will also act as the Managing Director for Endomines AB’s Finnish subsidiaries Endomines Oy and Kalvinit Oy.

Silver Standard completes Transaction on Diablillos and M-18 Projects

Silver Standard Resources Inc. Hecla Completes Acquisition of Mines Management, Inc.

Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL) announced that its acquisition of Mines Management, Inc. (Mines Management) is complete. The acquisition includes the Montanore Project, a large undeveloped silver and gold project in Montana for which the final Environmental Impact Statement and Records of Decision were issued earlier this year. Montanore will remain owned by Mines Management, which is now a wholly owned subsidiary of Hecla.

Eldorado announces new Exploration Projects in Romania, Serbia and Brazil

Eldorado Gold Corporation, ("Eldorado" or "the Company") announces plans at four new exploration projects.

  • The large Bolcana porphyry copper-gold system in Romania, recently acquired through public auction, provides a new opportunity contiguous with the Company's growing land package in the highly prospective Apuseni mining district in Romania.
  • The Borborema and Nazareno gold projects in Brazil will be explored under an option agreement with Votorantim Metais. These new projects expand the Brazilian exploration portfolio into two regions with proven metallogenic potential, and establishes a partnership with a highly respected local mining company with a long history of discovery and mine development.
  • The Karavansalija Mineralized Centre project in Serbia is a large skarn and epithermal system with multiple mineralized zones and untested targets, and provides an entry into this emerging mining-friendly jurisdiction.
