A consortium of Van Oord and BAM International completed the construction of the APM Terminals Moín in Costa Rica. The inauguration of the container terminal will enable products to be shipped on transatlantic routes to European and Asian markets without transshipment.

Management Appointment at BAM International
The Executive Board of Royal BAM Group nv has appointed Mr E. van Zuthem as director of BAM International bv, effective 1 April 2019.
Eric van Zuthem (50), is currently Area Director North America and Africa at BAM International. As from 1 June 2019, Eric van Zuthem will succeed Mr G.K. Mazloumian BSc (Hons), CEng, MICE as chairman of the Board of BAM International, who will retire at the end of June 2019.

Costain announces new CEO
Costain announces that Andrew Wyllie CBE, after 14 years as CEO of the Company, is retiring in order to pursue a non-executive career. He recently took up the presidency of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is a non-executive director of Yorkshire Water Services. Alex Vaughan, currently managing director of the Group’s natural resources division, will be appointed as CEO with effect from the conclusion of the Company’s AGM on 7 May 2019. The appointment of Alex is in accordance with the Board’s succession plan which included an extensive internal and external search process.
