New Director People and Culture at Beumer Group with headquarter in Germany

Focus on the employee

At Beumer Group, the people are considered to be a part of the Beumer family, not a resource. Employees should develop further and not be consumed (like a resource). This is why the company calls its human resources department 'People and Culture' (P&C). Christian Schneider is the new director of P&C at Beumer Group, headquartered in Beckum. A lawyer by trade, he will be responsible for the People and Culture division of the corporate group in his new position. The tasks of the department include comprehensive employer branding, recruiting, university marketing, presentation on trade fairs as well as the support of students during their internships, for final theses or during their dual studies. Special emphasis is placed on the development and training of employees, especially managers, as this is the only way to ensure that the principles according to which Beumer Group is managed are also firmly anchored in the globally active organisation. Thus the employees of the P&C department are also direct contacts for the managers, the employees and the works council. 'The name 'People and Culture' expresses the principle of values by which we act. This fits into the company group and our management culture in the family-owned enterprise,' says Christian Schneider. 'And it supports the employer brand Beumer as corporate culture attracts talents'.

Born in Hamburg, he brings a lot of experience to his new position. He took his first steps in human resources management at a leading magazine publisher with around 6,600 employees. He then worked for about one and a half years as a clinic consultant in the field service of a chemical product manufacturer for the health sector. At the same company, he was then responsible for the international subsidiaries as head of human resources for almost twelve years. Additionally, for two years he was Director Human Resources at a leading producer of gases for industry, medicine and environmental protection, where he was responsible for almost 1,800 employees. Before joining Beumer Group, Schneider worked for around three years as Managing Director Human Resources and Legal Affairs at a major fashion provider.

Salini Impregilo joins short List for mega sustainable Mobility Project to protect Stonehenge archeological Site in UK

Salini Impregilo has joined the short list for the A303 Amesbury to Berwick Down sustainable mobility project valued at £1.6 billion (€1.8 billion) to conserve Stonehenge, one of the most important archeological sites in the United Kingdom, as well as improve the quality of life of the surrounding area, stimulate economic development and foster tourism. Anglo American Response to South Africa’s COVID-19 Measures

Anglo American notes the statement made by the President of the Republic of South Africa on the evening of Monday 23 March in relation to a 21-day nationwide lockdown, to take effect at midnight on Thursday 26 March, in order to help curb the spread of COVID-19 in South Africa. Queensland resources strong going into COVID-19: survey

A survey of Queensland’s resources leaders taken before the impacts of COVID-19 started to unfold found the sector was in a good standing to create an economic buffer in 2020.

Queensland Resources Council Chief Executive Ian Macfarlane said the State of the Sector report gave hope to the Queensland economy with the sector in a strong position to maintain production and employment.
