Fugro’s ROV Survey and Monitoring Services help install World’s longest Subsea Interconnector
Fugro has completed a contract for Nexans to provide remotely operated vehicle (ROV) survey and monitoring support services to lay the North Sea Link cable through a mountain and along a lakebed in Norway. National Grid NSN Link Ltd and Statnett SF are building an electricity interconnector between Kvilldal in Norway and Blyth in the UK which, on completion, will be the longest subsea interconnector in the world. Fugro’s innovative survey and monitoring solutions supported the installation of two cables through the mountain between Hylsfjorden and Lake Suldalsvatnet, and along the lakebed at a depth of 210 m.

Metso Outotec to supply primary Crushing Stations for a Mining Company in Russia
Metso Outotec will deliver two primary crushing stations for a mine located in the Russian Far East. The EUR 23 million order, which has been booked in former Metso Minerals’ Q2 2020 orders received, will be delivered by Metso Outotec Corporation (formed when Metso Corporation and Outotec Oyj completed the combination of Metso’s Minerals business and Outotec on June 30, 2020). The commissioning of the equipment is expected to take place in 2023.
The delivery includes two primary crushing stations with Metso SuperiorTM MKIII 60-110 gyratory crushers and 30 apron feeders. Superior MKII gyratory crushers are well-proven both globally and in the Russian mining industry. The capacity of the new MKlll crusher is 25% higher than the capacity of the previous generation, reaching 8000 t/h and even more, providing great benefit to the entire mineral processing circuit with its higher throughput and reduced downtime.
“The new generation of gyratory crushers will help the mining and processing plant achieve its target capacity: the advantages of the new equipment will be fully implemented at the future mining and processing plant”, says Alexey Muzychkin, President, Russia and CIS at Metso Outotec.

RWE to strengthen its European Renewables Business with Acquisition of 2.7 GW Project Pipeline
RWE wants to acquire the European onshore wind and solar development platform from Nordex SE with a total pipeline of 2.7 Gigawatt (GW) in France, Spain, Sweden and Poland. The developer has a strong focus in France, with an overall pipeline of 1.9 GW in various project phases. 15% of the whole pipeline is close to final investment decisions (FID) or in advanced development stages; 230 megawatt have secured Contracts for Difference (CfDs) or similar feed-in tariffs. The purchase price will be around €400 million.
