Blackstone engages Metso as technology supplier for pCAM feasibility study in Tha Khoa Refinery project in Vietnam
Blackstone Minerals Ltd has announced the inclusion of Metso as the technology supplier for the definitive feasibility study of the company’s pCAM (precursor cathode active material) processing plant in their Ta Khoa Refinery in Vietnam. Metso is already involved in the design of the pCAM plant and will also conduct independent pCAM test work to validate the nickel and cobalt sulphates generated during the pilot program for suitability in pCAM generation.

Standard & Poor's recognizes high creditworthiness of K+S
Today, the rating agency Standard & Poor´s (S&P) upgraded the long-term rating of K+S to BBB- (previously: BB+). K+S is therefore now rated in the investment grade range again and consequently considered to be a solid borrower. The rating outlook is stable.

SSAB and Fortum explore possibilities for the production of hydrogen-reduced sponge iron
SSAB and Fortum will launch a FEED* study to explore the possibilities of making hydrogen-reduced sponge iron also in Raahe.
The FEED study will explore the possibilities of making fossil-free sponge iron at an industrial-scale in Raahe and of building a hydrogen production plant. The study is scheduled to complete in the first quarter of 2024.

Epiroc, a leading productivity and sustainability partner for the mining and infrastructure industries, has completed the purchase of the key assets of Schramm Australia, a leading manufacturer of products for reverse circulation (RC) drilling.
Since February 2023, Schramm Australia, based in Perth, has been in voluntary administration, and Epiroc will now continue the business to the benefit of the customers. The assets include intellectual property as well as two production facilities near Perth and two service centers located in Queensland and South Australia. Schramm Australia’s employees will be offered employment at Epiroc.
Epiroc announced on May 17, 2023, that it had agreed to purchase the assets. The transaction is not subject to a disclosure obligation pursuant to the EU Market Abuse Regulation.
