Pula on the move in Mozambique and Malawi

In an effort to expand its presence in the critical minerals space for EV batteries and other green energy uses, Pula is positioning itself to expand its holdings beyond its graphite assets in Tanzania. Starting with conversations that began in March, which culminated in a visit to Mozambique in May, the Pula Group has completed the initial steps in setting up the Pula Group Mozambique.

Haver & Boecker Niagara opens Service Center in Brazil

Haver & Boecker Niagara recently opened a new service and support facility in Parauapebas, Brazil. The company welcomed clients, partners, friends, local community and city authorities to the grand opening celebration. The 43,055-square-foot (4,000 square-meter) facility provides service and support for mining operations throughout the region through cutting-edge diagnostics, equipment refurbishment, parts stocking and more.

K+S: Figures for G2 and H1 2023 - Positive impetus for the second half of the year prevails

K+S generated revenues of just under €826 million in the second quarter of the current year, following a record figure of €1.5 billion in the prior-year quarter. EBITDA operating earnings reached €24 million (Q2/2022: €706 million).

SMT Scharf AG publishes preliminary H1 2023 results

• Consolidated revenue of EUR 31.7 million on a preliminary basis
• Operating result (EBIT) of EUR -1.8 million
• New FY 2023 guidance: Consolidated revenue of EUR 73 million and EBIT of EUR  3.3 million   

SMT Scharf AG (WKN A3DRAE; ISIN DE000A3DRAE2), a leading global provider of customised transport solutions and logistics systems for underground mining, generated consolidated revenue of EUR 31.7 million during the first six months of the 2023 fiscal year on the basis of preliminary figures (H1 / 2022: EUR 37.5 million).

Beach  Energy Limited (ASX:  BPT,  Beach) advises  that  it  has  today  appointed  Mr  Brett  Woods  as  Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer (MD & CEO) to commence 21 February 2024 or such other date as mutually agreed.

Mr Woods has over 25 years of experience in upstream oil and gas including most recently 10 years at Santos where   he   undertook   a  number  of   executive   roles   including Chief Operating Officer, Vice President Developments and Vice President Eastern Australia business unit.

In the intervening period current non-executive director Mr Bruce Clement has been appointed interim Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and will continue as an executive director.

Mr Morné Engelbrecht has today ended his tenure as CEO. Mr Davis thanked Mr Engelbrecht for his leadership of, and contribution to, Beach both as CEO and before that as CFO.
