The Austrian research study RCC2 (reduced carbon concrete) investigated the potential of innovative concrete mix designs to decarbonise concrete. The broad-based consortium tested ways of establishing CO2-reduced and even climate-neutral concrete as the new state of the art.
The machines benefit from increased travel speeds and an upgraded operator’s cab. This incorporates a revised monitor, enhanced electrohydraulic controls with smart features, plus a range of connectivity applications previously only seen on larger models.
Hatch’s regional managing director for the Africa, India, and Middle East region, Pierre Olivier, is one of more than 130 leaders of South Africa’s top corporations to have signed a pledge underpinning their collective belief in South Africa, and their determination to assist in realizing its potential.

Jonathan has a wealth of experience in infrastructure. For the last three years he has been the managing director of Skanska UK’s Infrastructure Division, working to increase revenue and market share in sectors including highways and rail.
Prior to that, Jonathan spent seven years as the managing director of Alstom Transport UK’s Systems, Signalling and Infrastructure Division, growing the business and winning key work on maintenance and renewals from Network Rail.
Alex Vaughan, Costain’s chief executive officer, commented, “I’m delighted that Jonathan has chosen to join Costain at such an exciting time. Infrastructure will play a significant part in how we respond to the challenges of climate change and boosting economic growth. I know that the addition of Jonathan to our Executive team will help Costain contribute positively to these challenges and support the growth and diversification of our services across the Transportation market.”

Jonathan Willcock will join Costain in early April. David Taylor remains Interim Managing Director for Transportation pending Jonathan joining in April.
