With its nearly 920,000 residents, the Dutch capital of Amsterdam is the most populous city in the Netherlands. On the list of the largest cities in the European Union, it comes in 17th. The number of residents is steadily growing, with around 1.5 million people now living in the metropolitan area. To manage the continually increasing traffic volume as a result of this expansion, various infrastructure projects have been initiated by Rijkswaterstraat, the Dutch Ministry for Infrastructure and Waterways. One of the most important of these projects is the large-scale road construction project "Schiphol-Amsterdam-Almere Corridor". Among other tasks, this includes expanding the A9 highway between Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, southern Amsterdam and the community of Almere to the east of the city.

From November 30th to December 12th, 2023, the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) is set to take place in Dubai. Ukraine will, for the second time in history, present its pavilion at the conference. The aim is to showcase the scale of environmental damage caused by war and propose preventive measures against ecocide relevant to the entire planet. The President of Ukraine Peace Formula initiative will be introduced at the conference, aligning with the 8th point of this formula: Ecological Safety.
Fugro selected by KREDO Offshore to support offshore wind development in South Korea

Fugro announces it has been engaged by KREDO Offshore for a metocean and wind resource measurement campaign on the west coast of South Korea, offshore Yeonggwang County. KREDO Offshore develops and operates a growing portfolio of onshore and offshore wind farms and energy storage systems. Fugro will provide a turnkey solution encompassing technology deployment, provisioning, operations, maintenance and comprehensive data reporting.
The project site is currently in the initial investigation stage to assess its suitability for investment. A total of four Seawatch® Lidar buoys have been strategically deployed within the study area. These buoys measure a comprehensive range of metocean parameters which include wind, waves, current and meteorological conditions. The data collection will take place in the next 12 months, with real-time data provision for decision makers and consultants with data in advance of final reporting.
