For more than 30 years, RJ Webb Commercials has specialized in the complete repair and restoration of vehicles. To prepare any vehicle properly for restoring to its former glory, the Welsh company is conducting shotblasting work.

RJ Webb Commercials is an established expert in shot blasting metalwork, and for many years the company has undertaken projects for cars, trucks and other much larger structures. The shot blasting process is used for cleaning, de-scaling and preparing the metal surface for respraying, ensuring that the refurbishment results are an ‘as new’ finish, even when working with the most difficult of surfaces. For delivering the best results, the company is relying on an Atlas Copco’s sustainable electric E-Air H250 VSD compressor, which produces zero emissions and moreover reduces their costs. Immediately, they were delighted to witness their costs going down.

Since the application of the electric compressor into their operations, RJ Webb Commercials has calculated fuel savings of more than € 5000 per year. Further to this, following on from the changes in red diesel, the requirement to purchase diesel has been negated due to the use of the E-Air meeting (and exceeding) all the company’s demands. With the help of the E-Air, the company has been able to navigate the ever-shifting price changes in the diesel market, while hiking down their carbon footprint to further portray their dedication to achieving net-zero emissions – without having to compensate on quality.
