Skanska has appointed Stein Ivar Hellestad as new Business Unit President for Skanska Norway.

“Stein Ivar is a values-driven leader with a commercial mindset, who has played a decisive role in Skanska Norway’s development and performance over the last years. With over 20 years in the industry, including 13 years in Skanska Norway's management team, he has all the prerequisites to continue to develop the business”, says Ståle Rød, Executive Vice President, Skanska Group.

Stein Ivar Hellestad currently holds the position as Chief Financial Officer for Skanska Norway and since January 1st, 2023, also acting BUP Skanska Norway.

“Our strategy and commercial direction is clear with continued strong focus on profitability in the Construction stream. Stein Ivar has extensive experience and a proven track record as a successful leader with a clear focus on further strengthening our performance in the Norwegian market. I look forward to working closer with Stein Ivar in his new role”, says Anders Danielsson, President and CEO, Skanska Group.

In his new position, Stein Ivar Hellestad will report to Ståle Rød. The process of finding a successor for the role as CFO for Skanska Norway has started.

Skanska builds Solitude tailings buttress in Globe, Arizona, USA

Skanska has signed a contract with mining company BHP Copper Inc., to construct the Solitude buttress main civil works project at the Solitude Closure Tailings site in Globe, Arizona, USA. The total contract value is worth USD 60M, about SEK 630M, which will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter of 2023.
