DEUTZ presents 2012 results

SMT Scharf AG publishes final 2012 results

SMT Scharf AG (German Securities Code [WKN] 575198, ISIN DE0005751986), technology and world market leader for monorail transport systems for the underground mines, reports a further increase in revenue and earnings in the 2012 fiscal year based on final figures. For the first time, SMT Scharf Group revenue climbed above the EUR 100 million level to reach EUR 105.4 million, compared with EUR 82.1 million in the previous year (+28 percent). Revenue generated abroad accounted for 92 percent of the total, with China and Russia representing the most important individual markets, as in previous years.

9th International Geothermal Conference: Programme provides a broad range of topics and interesting new offers - Early bird discount until 15. March

Tsurumi, a global leader in the manufacture of submersible pumps, will mark its 30th anniversary in Europe at bauma 2013. The company will launch one of its largest engine driven pumps and a life-extending kit for its products. Tsurumi will highlight its strong dealer network, many of which it has partnered with for over 20 years, and showcase its range of high quality pumps with live demonstrations at the show.

Tsurumi Europe will introduce a new automatic self-priming diesel pump and a life-extending kit for its KTV range of pumps at bauma 2013, taking place in Munich, Germany from April 15 – 21. The company, which is part of the Tsurumi Group based in Japan, established its operations 30 years ago and will celebrate three decades of success at the show.

Oldham Launches OLCT 80 Wireless System

Oldham Launches OLCT 80 Wireless SystemOldham (an Industrial Scientific company) announced the launch of the OLCT 80 Wireless field detector and transmitter for monitoring of oxygen and combustible, toxic and refrigerant gases in remote locations.


The new model reduces installation costs by eliminating cabling and wiring. Up to 49 of the devices, each of which has three built-in relays and a maximum line-of-sight range of three kilometers (1.86 miles), can be linked via a secure network to monitor large remote areas, including ATEX 1 zones, where wired systems would be difficult to install.

Caterpillar to Supply Longwall Systems to Four CONSOL Mines - Updated

CONSOL Energy Inc., the largest producer of coal from underground mines in North America, has placed orders for Cat® longwall equipment including more than 1,100 roof supports and totaling nearly $300 million US. In addition to roof supports, the four northern Appalachia mines—Bailey, Bailey Mine Extension (BMX), Robinson Run and Shoemaker—will get two armored face conveyors, a shearer and three shield haulers. CONSOL also is equipping all four longwall systems with the Cat PMC®-R electro-hydraulic control system for advanced automation and Cat Detect Personnel, a personnel proximity detection system designed to enhance the safety of miners working around longwall systems. Delivery of equipment will be completed in 2013.

The Mobile Tunnel Miner 6The latest development from Aker Wirth, the Mobile Tunnel Miner (MTM) for underground tunneling and mining, has been nominated for this year’s bauma Innovation Award. A jury of experts picked the MTM as one of the three best contributions from among 156 entries in the “Machinery” category. Following an extensive research and development programme CDE have announced that the launch of the next generation EvoWash sand washing plant will take place at bauma Munich in April.

The EvoWash is a compact sand washing system integrating a dewatering screen, sump and hydrocyclone configuration which is customised to the specific requirements of the materials washing project on which it is specified.

MTU’s Bauma presentation showcases engines fit for future emissions stages

At the bauma show in Munich from 15 to 21 April 2013, Tognum subsidiary MTU Friedrichshafen GmbH will be presenting engines fit for future emissions regulations EU Stage IV and U.S. EPA Tier 4 final.
