SNC-Lavalin awarded Contract for California Department of Transportation

 SNC-Lavalin Group Inc. has been awarded a three-year contract with two one-year extensions to provide a Transportation Asset Management System (TAMS) for the California Department of Transportation (Caltrans). Under the $15 million USD contract, SNC-Lavalin’s Data Transfer Solutions (DTS) business will provide services which include implementing the TAMS solution, software licensing and maintenance, and optional post-implementation support.

Fugro’s Vulnerability Assessment informs Port of San Francisco’s safe and sustainable Future

Fugro has completed a geotechnical site characterisation, earthquake hazard and geotechnical vulnerability assessment for the Port of San Francisco’s multi-year, multi-billion dollar Waterfront Resilience Program. The work was conducted over a period of 3 years as part of a multi-hazard risk assessment (MHRA) to identify immediate and long-term hazards, such as those associated with earthquakes, flooding and sea-level rise. As the port’s lead geotechnical engineer for future programme phases, Fugro will use the MHRA inputs to develop and design optimal retrofit solutions for the port’s ageing seawall.

Canadian Pacific and Kansas City Southern agree to combine to create the first U.S.-Mexico-Canada Rail Network

Canadian Pacific Railway Limited (“CP”) and Kansas City Southern (“KCS”) announced they have entered into a merger agreement, under which CP has agreed to acquire KCS in a stock and cash transaction representing an enterprise value of approximately USD$29 billion, which includes the assumption of $3.8 billion of outstanding KCS debt. The transaction, which has the unanimous support of both boards of directors, values KCS at $275 per share, representing a 23% premium, based on the CP and KCS closing prices on March 19, 2021 (and $270 per share, representing a 26% premium3, based on the respective CP and KCS 30-day volume weighted average prices (“VWAP”)).

Deutsche Exporte von Wasser- und Abwassertechnik bleiben auf hohem Niveau

Kurz vor dem Weltwassertag 2021, am 22. März, kann bilanziert werden, dass deutsche Wasser- und Abwassertechnik auch im Krisenjahr 2020 weltweit gefragt war. Obwohl durch die Corona-bedingte Absage der IFAT, Weltleitmesse für Wasser-, Abwasser-, Abfall- und Rohstoffwirtschaft, ein wichtiger stimulierender Impuls für die Branche ausblieb, sanken die Ausfuhren deutscher Hersteller von Komponenten und Systemen zur Wasseraufbereitung, Abwasser- und Schlammbehandlung nur geringfügig unter den bisherigen Höchststand im Jahr 2019.

Flatiron wins California Infrastructure Projects

Flatiron has been selected by the City of San Diego to construct the Morena Pump Station, a key component of the city’s bold Pure Water San Diego Program. The design-bid-build project, valued at $110 million, is slated to begin in June 2021 and complete in 2025.

SNC-Lavalin awarded Construction Management Services Contract by Coeur Mining for Rochester POA 11 Project in US

SNC-Lavalin announced that it has been awarded a $30 million USD contract by Coeur Rochester, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coeur Mining, Inc., to provide construction management services for the Plan of Operations, Amendment Number 11 (POA 11)  expansion project at Coeur’s Rochester mine near Lovelock, Nevada. The contract commenced in fourth quarter 2020 and is estimated to be completed by the end of 2022. This win is aligned with SNC-Lavalin’s new strategy moving forward in the Services segment.
