Rema Tip Top AG acquires Polytechna AG. With the acquisition of the full-range supplier for conveyor technology based in Wetzikon, Switzerland, the Rema Tip Top Group strengthens its strategic position in Switzerland.
Polytechna AG has been operating in the field of conveyor technology for decades. The Swiss company represents well-known manufacturers of conveyor belts, drum motors and drive rollers, checkweighers, metal detectors, track & trace systems, bagging and bag emptying machines, as well as components for conveyor systems. As a full-range supplier, Polytechna offers not only a broad product portfolio but also professional services for companies in various industries, from food, chemicals and pharmaceuticals, logistics, printing and paper, industry and agriculture to wood and textiles.
"Markets change, customer requirements become more complex. For years, Rema-Tip Top Vulc-Material AG and Polytechna AG have shared the commitment to exceed our customers' expectations with a broad product range, technical know-how and customer service at the highest level," explains Petra Vontz, Managing Director of Rema-Tip Top Vulc-Material AG. With the acquisition of Polytechna AG as a 100 percent subsidiary of Rema-Tip Top Vulc-Material AG, know-how and services will be bundled as of now to strengthen and further expand the leading position of both companies in the Swiss market.
The Rema Tip Top Group already operates four sites in Switzerland. With the acquisition of Polytechna AG, another location is added, which further densifies the service network in Switzerland. "As of now, 24 service technicians and a nationwide network of technical consultants at 5 locations are on duty around the clock for our customers," Urs Berchtold, Head of Service and Sales at Polytechna, is pleased to announce. In addition to expanding and extending the service network, there are plans to further promote the digitalization of maintenance using the company’s field management system and procurement via the Rema Tip Top online store.
