Matthew Steele, previously Managing Director of Gas & Water, has taken on the role of Managing Director of Rail & Utilities, whilst also continuing his leadership of Balfour Beatty’s Gas & Water business where he has driven improved commercial arrangements and delivery programmes for key contracts and customers.
In the US, Leon Blondin, Chief Executive of US Buildings is promoted to Chief Executive Officer, US Operations, having transformed US buildings into one of Balfour Beatty’s highest performing business units. Assuming leadership of US Buildings, US Civils and US functional Shared Services, Leon will provide overall leadership and co-ordination in the US.
These changes will help support the successful execution of thousands of schemes delivered by Balfour Beatty across the UK and US, which will support communities, create infrastructure, and enable economic growth.
