Pedro Torres, CEO of Riwal, says: “We are extremely proud to receive the Digital Development Award. It is an important recognition for all the hard work that everyone at Riwal has put into realizing these digital solutions for our customers worldwide. Considering that the International Awards for Powered Access are worldwide acclaimed as a showcase for the most dynamic companies, we are honored to be recognized at this level. "
During the last years Riwal focussed on the development of a full range of digital tools that makes the rental process more transparent and above all, easier:
The My Riwal customer portal and app give customers real time insights into data such as:
- Their machine rentals
- Machine usage
- CO2 emissions
- Track & Trace
- easy rent and off-rent
- Find machine-specific machines
The way Riwal applies BIM in the AWP market makes it one of the most disruptive technologies available today. All other trends (3D printing, robotics, modular & prefab-construction, VR, AR, big data, digital twins, sensor) have a strong connection with Building Information Modelling (BIM).
By using BIM technology, Riwal creates a custom digital working at height plan to ensure that you always choose the right machine. They help you to be as efficient as possible and reduce the carbon footprint of your project to the minimum.
AR (augmented reality) is a feature that is available in the My Riwal rental app. Here you can virtually display an AWP on your project site so see how big it is and how high it can reach.
And last but not least the VR safety training simulator. With the VR safety training simulator you can very efficiently train dozens of operators on a daily basis and perform a custom safety check on site. The VR safety training simulator is also available in a fully equipped van that can be deployed on the construction site. This makes it extremely applicable for all kinds of projects within Europe. Refreshing the skills of the operators in site reduces failure costs and ensures that the work goes right the first time!
