Naples-Bari High-Speed Railyway in Italy: Salini Impregilo and Astaldi work on Project in full Respect of Safety Protocols

Work continues on the high-speed railway between Naples and Bari currently under construction and involving Salini Impregilo and Astaldi, two protagonists of Progetto Italia, a project to create Webuild, a large group able to compete more effectively on international markets. At a time of national emergency with the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), work on the Naples-Cancello section of the railway is going ahead with a workforce of 200 people and the support of subcontractors from various parts of Italy in full respect of the measures put in place to prevent infection.

Salini: Safety and Sustainability Key Elements in Construction of Milan's M4 Metro Line in Italy

“Today we celebrate the Feast Day of Saint Barbara at every work site of Milan’s new M4 metro line after having achieved a record: in the past month, we were able to excavate a kilometre under the city centre, using a removal system for materials that kept its impact on street life to a minimum. To work on a project this big, with 56 work sites, some located in the downtown area, is not easy. And I thank you for this, for the enormous work you have done in a country where public works are undertaken with great difficulty. The M4, which will transport up to 86 million people a year, is one of the most important projects in sustainable mobility in Europe.

Verona-Padua High-Speed Railway Line: Work on first Phase to begin this year by Iricav Due Consortium including Salini Impregilo

The first phase of the high-speed/high-capacity Verona-Padua railway line, designed and built by the Iricav DUE consortium that includes Salini Impregilo, will be authorized this year, Italy’s Infrastructure and Transport Minister Graziano Delrio has announced. The line will cross the provinces of Verona, Vicenza and Padua, forming part of the Verona–Venice line. The maximum value of the first phase – “Verona–Vicenza Junction” – is €2.41 billion, while the total cost of the project is about €5 billion. The authorization process for the other two remaining phases – crossing Vicenza and connecting Vicenza and Padua – is expected to be completed by the end of 2016.
