Aker Solutions secured two five-year framework agreements for potential future deliveries of subsea production systems and lifecycle services at BP-operated oil and gas fields globally.

The 65^th edition of the BP Statistical Review of World Energy, launched today, sets out energy data for 2015, revealing a year in which significant long-term trends in both the global demand and supply of energy came to the fore with global energy consumption slowing further and the mix of energy sources shifting towards lower-carbon fuels.

Despite current weakness in global energy markets and the slowdown in China’s growth, demand for energy will continue to grow over the next 20 years and beyond as the world economy expands and more energy is required to power the higher level of activity.

Aker Solutions won a framework agreement to provide maintenance and modifications services at BP-operated oil and gas fields offshore Norway.

BP today reported its results for the second quarter of 2015. Underlying replacement cost profit1 for the quarter was $1.3 billion, compared with $2.6 billion for the previous quarter and $3.6 billion for the second quarter of 2014. The result reflected the impact of continued low oil and gas prices, a reduced contribution from Rosneft, and one-off charges arising from circumstances in Libya, but also continuing strong earnings from BP’s downstream businesses and lower cash costs throughout the Group.

Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced that it has been selected by BP to continue its role as Strategic Supplier of mid-cap work on a global basis.

KCA Deutag has been awarded a five year plus options contract by BP, for the construction and operation of three new build fast moving land rigs in Oman. 

The engineering and services group Bilfinger has again extended an important agreement for the maintenance of oil and gas production facilities in the North Sea. In the coming two years, the company will deliver extensive corrosion protection, insulation and scaffolding works for BP at the Ula, Valhall and Skarv fields. The order volume is approximately €50 million.

Rosneft announces the completion of transactions to acquire TNK-BP. Rosneft has finalised the deals to acquire BP’s 50% share in TNK-BP in exchange for $16.65 billion in cash and 12.84% of Rosneft shares. Separately BP acquires 5.66% of Rosneft shares from OFSC ROSNEFTEGAZ.
