Webuild and Fincantieri deliver the Keys to Genoa’s new Bridge

Fifteen months after construction began on Genoa’s new bridge, Webuild and Fincantieri deliver the keys to the completed structure to Marco Bucci, the city’s mayor and the project’s extraordinary commissioner. Work on the fixtures on the top part of the bridge is complete, the static load test certification has been issued, and the final inspection ahead of the opening of the bridge to traffic has been conducted. With the signing of the final documents to formalise the transfer of the bridge from the commissioner to the Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport and, subsequently, the concession operator that will take charge of the bridge and open it.

Inauguration of the Gabes-Sfax Motorway in Tunisia

Tunisian Public Works Minister has inaugurated the opening of the motorway section Sfax North-Sfax Sud-Mahres built by Salini Impregilo as part of the Trans-Maghreb Motorway Axis, an international project to improve transportation links among Mauritania, Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia and Libya.

BAM completes LNG Terminal in Jordan

BAM International, the operating company of Royal BAM Group active outside of Europe, has completed the €65-million-project to construct the Aqaba New Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) Terminal for Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC). BAM has handed over the project on 23 June, two months ahead of schedule.

Salini Impregilo completes the last Section of the B1 Line of Rome’s Metro

The group Salini Impregilo S.p.A. has completed and handed over to the city of Rome the last section of line B1 of the Rome Metro stretching from the Conca d'Oro station to the Jonio station on 21 April 2015, the anniversary of the founding of the city of Rome, In addition, the Jonio station, the new terminal station of the metro line, has also been provided with a 3-level covered car park with 250 parking spaces. At full operating capacity, the metro B1 line can transport approximately 15,000 passengers per hour in each direction.
