Sika expands Operations in Dubai and increases Production

Sika further expands its production capacity in the United Arab Emirates with the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Dubai. In addition to concrete admixtures, epoxy resins are now being produced locally for the Target Market Flooring. The site in Dubai was established in 2018 as a strategic distribution and sales center for the region.

Sika defies Coronavirus Crisis with Growth in local Currencies

  • Sales growth of 2.9% in local currencies to CHF 3,614.6 million (–3.2% in CHF)
  • High negative currency effect of –6.1% (impact of minus CHF 225 million in sales and CHF 29 million in EBIT)
  • Maintained high EBITDA margin of over 16% (currency adjusted absolute EBITDA was flat)
  • Operating profit (EBIT) at CHF 410.2 million (–14.8%)
  • Increased operating free cash flow amounting to CHF 254.7 million (+41.7%)
  • Closing of acquisition of Adeplast (Romania), takeover of Modern Waterproofing Group (Egypt), and buildup of a new factory in Barranquilla (Colombia)
  • Outlook for the second half of the year: Sika is expecting more favorable market conditions. With the anticipated improvement in sales volumes, the company expects an over-proportional EBIT increase for the second half of the year

Sika expands Production in Mexico

Sika is opening a new mortar production facility at Coatzacoalcos in southeast Mexico. The new plant will also take over the manufacture of concrete admixtures from the previous production site at Villahermosa. Through its five factories, Sika has now established a nationwide supply chain. With a population of 120 million, Mexico has one of the largest domestic markets in Latin America and is investing heavily in infrastructure expansion.

Four projects in 2016 for CDE with Cemex

Following the recent announcement of the opening of Datchet Quarry CDE is delighted to announce a partnership with Cemex to deliver a further three new sand and aggregates washing projects across the Midlands and South of England. Over the four projects Cemex is making a substantial investment to further strengthen their UK aggregates operations. To date two projects are complete with another two to commission before the end of 2016.

Sika opens new Production Plant in Australia

With the opening of a new production plant in Bibra Lake near Perth, Sika is paving the way for future growth in Western Australia. The new site will increase capacities for concrete admixtures and synthetic fibers, improve finished goods warehousing and logistics and accommodate future mortar production facilities.

BE Group Year-end Report 2015 – increased Tonnage despite challenging Market

Fourth quarter

  • Net sales decreased by 3 percent compared with the preceding year and amounted to SEK 981 M (1,009).
  • Shipped tonnage within the Group rose by 1 percent.
  • The operating result amounted to SEK -17 M (-30).
  • The underlying result amounted to SEK -12 M (-9).
  • Earnings after tax were SEK -23 M (-45).
  • Earnings per average number of shares amounted to SEK -0.09 (-0.61).
  • The Board of Directors proposes that no dividend be paid to shareholders for the 2015 financial year.

Sika opens two new Factories in Southeast Asia

Sika is systematically implementing its Strategy 2018 by entering into new markets and opening 6 to 8 factories a year, and has now further expanded its presence in Southeast Asia. With one new production plant for concrete admixtures in Myanmar and another one in Cambodia, Sika is increasing its proximity to customers in these growing markets and continuing its successful expansion.

Sika opens new Mortar Production Facility in Greece

Sika is opening a new manufacturing site for mortars in Kryoneri, near Athens. Complementary to Sika's existing concrete admixture plant in Thessaloniki, northern Greece, the state-of-the-art manufacturing plant will drive forward the mortar business in the country by broadening the current product portfolio and opening up new market segments.
