Genoa in Italy: Completion of Piers on West Side of Riverbed in Record Time

Workers have completed the installation of all the piers on the west side of the Polcevera riverbed in Genoa across which will stretch the bridge being built by PerGenova, a joint-venture between Salini Impregilo and Fincantieri. With the installation of Pier 1 to support a ramp of the A10 Highway, the number of piers completed has reached 15 out of a total of 18.

Bauer Indonesia completes Expansion of Taxiway at Jakarta Airport

The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, located in Cengkareng, Banten, suburb of the Indonesia’s capital city, Jakarta, is one of the largest airports in Asia and 17th world’s busiest airport with an annual passenger volume of around 63 million (as of 2017). In order to deal with the increasing number of flights (now at over 447 thousand flight movements per year) and to optimize the time taken for ground handling of individual aircraft, a new connecting taxiway will be constructed to connect the existing runways at east side of airport. Currently, there is only one connecting taxiway located at west side of airport which supported for all aircraft’s movement.

Bauer Indonesia executes Foundation Works for 266-meter Skyscraper in Jakarta

 

Jakarta is the largest city in Southeast Asia with around ten million inhabitants. The impressive skyline of the Indonesian capital will soon have one more distinctive building – the Japanese company Mori Building is currently constructing a new 59-story high-rise, including four basement floors, in the "Golden Triangle", right in the center of Jakarta. In addition to offices, the 226-meter building will also feature restaurants and cafés. The main contractors of the Jakarta office tower project are Shimizu Corporation from Japan and Bangun Cipta Kontraktor from Indonesia. Completion of the high-rise is scheduled for 2021, while the foundation work has been underway since May 2017, with which the local subsidiary of Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH, P.T. Bauer Pratama Indonesia, has been contracted.

Innovative Slope Stabilization: Bauer Schweiz carries out Foundation Work for a Research and Laboratory Building in Zurich

 

The Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich, ETH Zürich for short, is building a new research and laboratory complex. The seven-floor building with around 21,000 m² of floor space is planned to be operational in three years. Aside from office workplaces and seminar rooms, it will also include laboratories and catering options. Construction began in 2015 and the foundation work, with which Bauer Spezialtiefbau Schweiz AG was commissioned, took place from December 2016 to March 2017. "A unique concept for stabilizing the 110-meter-long north-eastern slope had to be developed for this", reported Bauer project manager Niklas Haag.

Bauer Foundations Australia constructs Foundation for Resort Hotel in Sydney Harbor

 

Yet another distinctive building will soon adorn the skyline of the largest city in Australia: The new Crown Sydney Hotel Resort, the first six-star hotel in Sydney, is currently being built in the Barangaroo South district. With 69 floors (including mezzanines) and a height of 275 m, the hotel will be the tallest habitable building in the city. It will have 350 rooms, suites and luxury apartments, as well as restaurants, bars, luxury boutiques and conference rooms. Bauer Foundations Australia Pty Ltd and joint venture partner Piling Contractors execute the foundation work, which was commissioned by Crown Sydney Property Pty Limited, in August 2016.
