A further significant milestone has been achieved in the Ulu Jelai hydro-electrical project in Malaysia with the commencement of the impounding phase, bringing the project closer to the completion. The gates of the bottom outlet have been partially closed and the water starts to be stored in the 3,5km long reservoir.

Acciona-led Consortium signs Contract for Site C hydroelectric Dam in Canada

Acciona Infrastructure Canada and its Peace River Hydro Partners (PRHP) announced that they have signed a contract with BC Hydro, a Canadian electric utility, for the main civil works component of the 1,100 MW Site C clean energy project. Led by Acciona, the PRHP consortium is comprised of Acciona Infrastructure Canada (37.5%), Samsung C&T Canada LTD (37.5%) and Petrowest Corporation (25%).
