Norway gives green Light for Subsea Cable to Germany

The Norwegian Energy Ministry issued the license for construction of the NordLink interconnector to Statnett, Tennet's Norwegian project partner. In doing so, the Ministry has given the green light for Statnett to implement concrete measures for installing the cable between Norway and Germany. NordLink is a German-Norwegian project between the transmission system operators Tennet and Statnett.

Alstom’s largest hydropower industrial site was inaugurated in Tianjin, China on September 17, 2013 in the presence of Patrick Kron, Chairman and CEO of Alstom, and Jérôme Pécresse, President of Alstom’s Renewable Power Sector. With an investment of €100 million on this new facility, Alstom aims to further tap into China’s increasing hydropower needs and grow its hydropower business throughout the region.

 Voith Hydro has been elected the best company in the capital goods sector in Brazil for the second time in a row. The prize was awarded as part of the 40th Special Edition of “Best and Largest” of the leading Brazilian trade magazine “Exame”. The ranking rates 3,500 companies from 19 different business sectors. The assessed indicators seek to reflect the companies’ success in business and included, among others, the factors growth, profitability, financial soundness, investments and productivity per employee.
