The Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, located in Cengkareng, Banten, suburb of the Indonesia’s capital city, Jakarta, is one of the largest airports in Asia and 17th world’s busiest airport with an annual passenger volume of around 63 million (as of 2017). In order to deal with the increasing number of flights (now at over 447 thousand flight movements per year) and to optimize the time taken for ground handling of individual aircraft, a new connecting taxiway will be constructed to connect the existing runways at east side of airport. Currently, there is only one connecting taxiway located at west side of airport which supported for all aircraft’s movement.

Bauer Indonesia executes Foundation Works for 266-meter Skyscraper in Jakarta
Jakarta is the largest city in Southeast Asia with around ten million inhabitants. The impressive skyline of the Indonesian capital will soon have one more distinctive building – the Japanese company Mori Building is currently constructing a new 59-story high-rise, including four basement floors, in the "Golden Triangle", right in the center of Jakarta. In addition to offices, the 226-meter building will also feature restaurants and cafés. The main contractors of the Jakarta office tower project are Shimizu Corporation from Japan and Bangun Cipta Kontraktor from Indonesia. Completion of the high-rise is scheduled for 2021, while the foundation work has been underway since May 2017, with which the local subsidiary of Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH, P.T. Bauer Pratama Indonesia, has been contracted.

FLSmidth wins large cement order in Indonesia
FLSmidth has received an order worth approximately EUR 42m (approximately DKK 310m) from Indonesian cement producer PT Semen Gresik for a greenfield cement plant with a capacity of 8,000 tonnes per day. For ten new belt conveyors at Tanjung Enim, Bukit Asam deploys 14 TVVS fluid couplings from 55-315 kW. In the past, the mine operator has always been pleased with the reliability of its already installed Voith fluid couplings. They ensure smooth start-ups day after day and a long service life for all components — especially the belts.
