Fugro achieves Carbon Trust’s highest Rating for its Seawatch Offshore wind Floating LiDAR Buoy

Fugro’s Seawatch Wind Lidar Buoy has achieved the highest commercial maturity rating, Stage 3, in accordance with the Carbon Trust Roadmap for the Commercial Acceptance of floating LiDAR technology. Fugro’s floating lidar system is the first in the world to gain this Stage 3 rating, which certifies the Seawatch Wind Lidar Buoy as a primary source of wind resource data to support financial investment decisions for offshore wind farms.

Fugro launches its new Generation of uncrewed Surface Vessels in the Netherlands

Fugro's Blue Essence, an offshore certified uncrewed surface vessel (USV) with an electric remotely operated vehicle (eROV), will begin its first project in the Netherlands. During operations the vessel is controlled from an onshore remote operations centre (ROC) via a satellite connection and will be used for the inspection of offshore assets, construction support services, and hydrographic and geophysical surveys.

Fugro awarded geotechnical Contract for Landmark La Gan Offshore Wind Farm in Vietnam

La Gan Wind Power Development Corporation (La Gan Wind), owned by Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), Asiapetro and Novasia, has awarded an offshore geotechnical contract to a consortium led by Vietsovpetro, PTSC G&S and Fugro. The award is part of CIP’s development plan for the La Gan offshore wind project in Vietnam which, with a potential capacity of 3.5 GW, will be one of the first large-scale offshore wind farms in Vietnam.

Fugro’s Seawatch Wind Lidar Buoy Geo-data to support Vietnam’s renewable Energy Transition

Fugro and PTSC G&S, a lead provider of diversified technical services for energy and other industries in Vietnam and South-East Asia, have signed a contract with Enterprize Energy Group to supply, install and operate a Seawatch Wind Lidar Buoy at Vietnam’s Thang Long Offshore Wind Farm site. From July 2021, the device will record continuous measurements for an initial period of 1 year to support wind resource mapping.
