Isolux Corsán awarded the Construction of 42 km of Transmission Lines in Mexico

Isolux Corsán has been awarded a contract for the construction of 42 km of transmission lines in Mexico. The project is known as “1116D Transformación del Noreste” and is located in the State of Nuevo León, and includes the engineering, procurement and construction of 42 km. of 400 kV and 115 kV transmission lines. In addition, the company will also be responsible for building the Regiomontano 500 MVA substation and the expansion of the existing Cadereyta substation.

Bechtel to design and build a combined-cycle Power Plant in Virginia

Bechtel announced today that the company is part of a consortium awarded the engineering, procurement, and construction contract to build a natural gas-fueled, combined-cycle power plant in Loudoun County, Virginia. The Stonewall Energy Project, a 778-megawatt facility with advanced emissions-control technology, will be one of the cleanest and most efficient plants in the nation. This will be the fourth power plant the Bechtel-Siemens consortium has built for Panda Power Funds.

Bechtel to design and build Liquefaction Train at FortisBC Tilbury LNG Plant in British Columbia

Bechtel started construction at the Tilbury Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) facility in British Columbia. FortisBC, the owner and operator of the facility, awarded Bechtel an engineering, procurement, and construction contract to expand its Tilbury facility, which will include a new 1-billion-cubic-foot full-containment LNG storage tank. The company also is responsible for the startup and commissioning of the new liquefaction facility.

Successful Start of Marine Construction Works on Aqaba LNG Project in Jordan

BAM has successfully driven the first pile at the LNG jetty in Aqaba, Jordan. Together with its sister company BAM Contractors from Ireland and its Jordanian joint-venture partner MAG Engineering & Contracting Co. BAM International was awarded the Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) of the LNG jetty in November 2013. BAM Infraconsult is involved in the designing of the civil works. The project is proceeding as scheduled and the hand-over to Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC) is expected in April 2015.
