QRC farewells New Hope’s Shane Stephan

The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) has thanked Shane Stephan for his distinguished leadership as Chief Executive Officer & subsequently Managing Director of the New Hope Group after 11 years with the company.
QRC Chief Executive Ian Macfarlane said New Hope Group announced Shane would retire from the company at the end of August.

Costain announces new CEO

Costain announces that Andrew Wyllie CBE, after 14 years as CEO of the Company, is retiring in order to pursue a non-executive career. He recently took up the presidency of the Institution of Civil Engineers and is a non-executive director of Yorkshire Water Services. Alex Vaughan, currently managing director of the Group’s natural resources division, will be appointed as CEO with effect from the conclusion of the Company’s AGM on 7 May 2019. The appointment of Alex is in accordance with the Board’s succession plan which included an extensive internal and external search process.

Debswana announces Change of Managing Director

Debswana Diamond Company announced that Managing Director Mr Balisi Bonyongo will retire from the business with effect from 30 November 2018, following 26 years of dedicated service to the organisation. The Shareholders of Debswana have appointed Mr Albert Milton, currently General Manager of Jwaneng Mine, to take over as the Company’s Managing Director with effect from 1 December 2018. The Shareholders have requested Balisi to stay on for three months as a consultant to ensure a smooth leadership transition.

Bauer Resources GmbH with new dual Leadership

For three decades, Johann Mesch was at the top of Bauer Umwelt and, since 2010, of Bauer Resources GmbH. On April 1, he left his post and since then Peter Hingott (chair.) und Dr. Roman Breuer have formed the new dual leadership. But although he has definitely earned his retirement, Johann Mesch is not saying goodbye just yet. He has taken on interim management post for the Bauer Training Center GmbH and will remain available to take on special tasks from Bauer Resources.

The Executive Board would like to thank Graham Cash for more than 31 years of loyal service and, in particular, his contribution in leadership roles within the Group since 1995. Graham Cash has been a member of the board of BAM Construct UK since 2007.

Voith appoints new CFO

The Supervisory Board and Shareholders’ Committee of Voith GmbH have introduced a planned generational change in the function of the Group CFO. Dr. Hermann Jung, who will turn 61 in July of this year, will cease to play an active role at Voith on 30.9.2016 after serving Voith extremely successfully for 31 years. By appointing a successor to this key management role the company is continuing to implement its long-term succession plan. The boards have appointed Dr. Toralf Haag to succeed Dr. Jung.

Change to Sandvik’s Group Executive Management

Olle Wijk, Executive Vice President and Head of Sandvik's Group R&D, will retire as of 30 April 2016, at the age of 65. As of 1 January 2016, Olle Wijk  will no longer be a member of the Group Executive Management, but will act as Group Senior Advisor, reporting to President and CEO, Björn Rosengren.

Vermilion Energy Inc. announces new President and CEO

Vermilion Energy Inc. ("Vermilion", "the Company", "We", "Us", or "Our") (TSX, NYSE: VET) Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer Lorenzo Donadeo announced publicly his intention to retire as CEO effective March 1, 2016, at which time he will transition to his new role as Chair of the board of directors. Larry Macdonald, the Company's current Chair will transition to the newly created role of Lead Director. In line with the Company's succession plan, the board of directors announced Anthony Marino, Vermilion's current President and Chief Operating Officer will assume the role of President and CEO upon Mr. Donadeo's retirement.
