A. P. van den berg announces Offshore Application of ST-Rods

Some time ago A. P. van den berg sent the newsflash about the brand new ST-Rods, that can be easily folded onto a reel. This newsflash did not remain unnoticed and many called the SingleTwist™-system “a very promising development”. A. P. van den berg  still hasn’t fully explored the potential of this innovation, but is now ready to introduce some concrete applications, one of them being the Roson-ST.

Porr Bau GmbH and MC-Bauchemie are awarded the Innovation Prize at Tunnel Day 2014

In the course of this year's Tunnel Day on 8 October 2014, the Austrian national committee of the International Tunnelling Association (ITA) has awarded its Innovation Prize to Porr Bau GmbH and MC-Bauchemie Müller GmbH & Co. KG. Porr and MC-Bauchemie con-vinced the independent panel of experts with a novel method for improving the production of earth pulp for earth pressure balance shields, broadening the range of application and significantly reducing the strain on the environment through the addition of conditioning agents. The two companies have already registered this method for patent approval. Also, the method is already being applied - at the construction of the world's most modern sewage water system, the Emscher project.


Arcadis wins contract for environmental Remediation Activities at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst

Arcadis (EURONEXT: ARCAD), the world's leading natural and built asset design and consultancy firm has been selected by The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Tulsa District to complete performance-based environmental remediation activities at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst  (JB-MDL) in New Jersey. Under this 10-year, $82 million firm-fixed-price contract, with $16 million authorized to date, Arcadis will support JB-MDL's mission by restoring 104 sites impacted by historical operations.
