Anglo American Collaboration on Feasibility Study for South Africa's Hydrogen Valleys

Anglo American announces a collaboration agreement to complete a feasibility study to develop a “hydrogen valley” anchored in the platinum group metals-rich Bushveld geological area in South Africa. Spearheaded by South Africa’s Department of Science and Innovation (DSI), the collaboration agreement also includes energy and services company Engie, the South African National Development Institute (SANEDI) and clean energy solutions provider Bambili Energy (Bambili).


Costain Part of Proving Hydrogen can be distributed via existing Gas Networks

Costain, the smart infrastructure solutions company, in collaboration with the gas networks, has produced a feasibility study that will contribute to the ongoing assessments of the ability to use the existing UK gas transmission and distribution networks to transport hydrogen. The project is the first to bring together all the gas distribution networks, working collaboratively to develop an innovative hydrogen solution that could be an answer to decarbonised energy for heat, transport, industry and power generation, helping the UK meets its target to be net zero carbon by 2050.

The Pilbara Water Resource Assessment project, a $3.5 million partnership between Csiro, BHP Billiton and the Government of Western Australian, will allow water managers and local industry to plan for future water use in an area rich in resources and environmental assets.

Wintershall expects increased recoverable Resources for Maria Field in Norway

With the upcoming submission of its “Impact Assessment” as part of the Plan for Development and Operation (PDO) process, Wintershall is announcing updated, higher recoverable resource estimates for its operated Maria Field: following intensive internal studies, Germany's largest internationally active oil and gas producer now estimates that the planned technical recoverable resources will reach about 180 million barrels of oil equivalent (boe).
