Salini Impregilo receives ENR Awards for Sydney and Washington, D.C., Projects

Salini Impregilo has won awards for two projects it has recently completed – the Skytrain Bridge for the Sydney Metro Northwest in Australia and the Anacostia River Tunnel in Washington, D.C., United States. The Group received the recognition from the leading U.S. construction magazine the Engineering News-Record (ENR) which publishes on a yearly basis its rankings for large international construction companies. Salini Impregilo is the only company to have won two awards in the sixth edition of ENR's Global Best Projects.

QRC welcomes Peabody’s North Goonyella Extension

The Queensland Resources Council (QRC) welcomes the decision by Peabody to extend its North Goonyella metallurgical coal mine, near Moranbah. QRC Chief Executive Ian Macfarlane said the announcement was more good news for the State’s coal industry and the men and women it supports through full-time jobs.

Cimic's CPB Contractors wins Mining Infrastructure Works in Australia

Cimic Group company, CPB Contractors, has been selected by BHP Iron Ore to deliver the construction of bulk earthworks, concrete and underground services for the South Flank project in Western Australia’s Pilbara region. Revenue to CPB Contractors for this construct-only contract is approximately $260 million, with construction scheduled to commence in July and conclude in September 2020.
