Die Kölner Strabag AG wird mit Beginn des Geschäftsjahres 2015 im deutschen Verkehrswegebau einheitlich unter der Marke „STRABAG“ auftreten.

The supervisory board of Strabag SE, acting on the recommendation of the presidential and nomination committee, has reappointed all current members of the Strabag SE management board for a new term lasting from 1 January 2015 to 31 December 2018. Dr. Thomas Birtel has been confirmed as CEO.

In view of a favourable financing environment, the publicly listed European-based construction company Strabag SE has prematurely extended its revolving syndicated cash credit line in the amount of € 400 million. The group had initially arranged the cash credit line in 2012 with an original maturity in 2017. With the new term of five years, including two options to extend by one year each, Strabag SE remains capable of securing its comfortable liquidity position for the long term.

The publicly listed construction group Strabag SE has concluded the renewal of a syndicated surety loan (SynLoan) with a consortium of 14 international banks led by Deutsche Bank and Raiffeisen Bank International (RBI).

Züblin A/S, a Danish subsidiary of the publicly listed construction group Strabag SE, is leading a joint venture for Copenhagen’s new metro line between Østersøgade and the new Nordhavn metro station.

Züblin Scandinavia AB, ein schwedisches Tochterunternehmen des börsenotierten Baukonzerns STRABAG SE, hat als Konsortialführerin einer Arbeitsgemeinschaft den Auftrag zum Bau des Marieholmstunnels, eines Absenktunnels unter dem Fluss Göta älv in der schwedischen Stadt Göteborg, erhalten.

Ed. Züblin AG, a subsidiary of the publicly listed construction group Strabag SE, has been awarded the contract to build the urban motorway A 100 in Berlin. The contract has a value of € 73 million. Construction has already begun and is expected to last until August 2017.

„Ich finde es spannend, eine Baustelle sozusagen ‚von innen‘ zu sehen. Ob ich selbst mit den Plänen umgehen könnte und auch handwerklich geschickt bin, weiß ich nicht, aber heute habe ich gesehen, dass doch einige Frauen in der Baubranche arbeiten“, erzählt die 15-jährige Schülerin Stefanie Kreißl.

Die Baubranche ist mit vielen Klischees behaftet: Es ist laut, stressig und dreckig – und daher ist die Branche vermeintlich für Frauen weniger attraktiv.
