The Webuild Group has begun ahead of schedule the work for the construction of the Verona-Bivio di Vicenza section of the high-speed/high-capacity railway between Verona and Padua. The work, which Webuild is leading with a 83% stake in the IRICAV DUE consortium with Hitachi Rail STS at 17%, on the section is worth approximately €2.5 billion and belongs to a wider project for Rete Ferroviaria Italiana (Gruppo FS Italiane) worth more than €2.7 billion.

Metso Outotec supports the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) emergency program in Beirut, Lebanon, in collaboration with UNICEF Finland, by donating equipment which will be used in the reconstruction of the disaster area in order to secure clean water, sanitation and healthier living conditions for thousands of children and families. The donated equipment is expected to arrive in Beirut in December 2020.

Sika further expands its production capacity in the United Arab Emirates with the commissioning of a new manufacturing facility in Dubai. Skanska has signed a contract with the City of Oslo on ground works for a new metro station in Fornebu, just outside Oslo, Norway. The contract is worth NOK 497 M, about SEK 470 M, which will be included in the Nordic order bookings for the fourth quarter 2020.

Parsons Corporation announced that the company has been selected by the Southern California Regional Rail Authority (SCRRA) as one of five engineering firms for a three-year $50 million task order contract.
