Epiroc Trading on Nasdaq Stockholm started

The shares of Epiroc AB, a leading productivity partner for the mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries, has started trading on Nasdaq Stockholm yesterday. This marks the start of Epiroc as a fully independent company following its separation from the Atlas Copco Group.  

“It is very exciting for us to now be listed on Nasdaq Stockholm and to start the journey as an independent company,” said Per Lindberg, Epiroc’s President and CEO. “We are proud of our long and productive heritage in the Atlas Copco Group, and at the same time we look forward to serving our customers in an even more focused way and to deliver customer and shareholder value.”

The Annual General Meeting of Atlas Copco AB decided on April 24, 2018, to distribute all shares of Epiroc AB to the shareholders of Atlas Copco AB. Atlas Copco shareholders have received one Epiroc share for each of their Atlas Copco shares. The total number of outstanding shares in Epiroc AB is 1 213 738 703, whereof 823 765 854 A shares and 389 972 849 B shares.

The company focuses on providing equipment, services and solutions that enhance productivity, safety, and cost efficiency for its customers – for instance, Epiroc is advancing the drive toward fossil-free mines with its growing fleet of battery-operated mining vehicles, and it is at the forefront of automation solutions for the industry.

Boliden appoints new President Business Area Mines

Stefan Romedahl has been appointed as the new President Business Area Mines and will  be a member of Boliden’s Group management. Stefan will take up his new post in the autumn of 2018 and will thereby replace Mikael Staffas who will be President and CEO from 1 June 2018.

BAM in Joint Venture with NCC awarded major Swedish Tunnel Project

The Swedish Transport Administration (Trafikverket) has selected Wayss & Freytag Ingenieurbau AG – the German tunnelling specialist of Royal BAM Group nv –  in joint venture NCC (one of the leading companies in construction, infrastructure and property development in the Nordic region)  to build the 3.2 kilometre long Korsvägen phase of the West Link tunnel project in Gothenburg, Sweden.

New President for Sandvik Materials Technology

Sandvik has appointed Göran Björkman as new President of business area Sandvik Materials Technology and member of the Sandvik Group Executive Management Team. He succeeds Petra Einarsson who is leaving the company for an external assignment. The change is effective as of 1 November 2017.

Skanska’s CEO to step down in 2018

Skanska’s President and CEO Johan Karlström has notified the Skanska AB Board of Directors that he wishes to step down. He will remain President and CEO until Skanska’s Annual General Meeting, April 13 2018, when he will also step down from the Board of Skanska AB. He will serve as Senior advisor until January 2019.
