On March 18th 2020, Afry India received Letter of Award from Greenko Energy Projects Ltd. (leading renewable IPP in India) for providing Detailed Design Engineering services of 1,200 MW, Pinnapuram Integrated Renewable Energy Pumped Storage Project in the southern part of India, a first of its kind Pumped Storage project to be developed by an IPP in India.
The Norwegian Hydrographic Service has awarded Fugro another hydrographic survey contract as part of the Mareano seabed mapping programme, financed by Norway’s Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries, and the Ministry of Environment.
Fugro has secured an initial 3-year contract with Well-Safe Solutions, a UK-based offshore well decommissioning service provider.

The National Authority for Tunnels represented via the Arab Contractors has awarded Fugro a geophysical and geotechnical investigation contract for the second phase of the Cairo Monorail megaproject. The megaproject involves the construction of two monorail lines that will create the first public transport links from both Egypt’s as-yet unnamed new administrative capital (NAC) and 6th of October City to the Greater Cairo area.
Skanska has signed a contract with the Swedish Transport Administration to build double-track on the West Coast Line, Sweden. The contract is worth about SEK 1.7 billion, which will be included in the order bookings for Sweden for the second quarter 2020.
Skanska has signed amendments to a contract with an existing client for transit infrastructure in New York, USA. A total of USD 34 M, about SEK 330 M, will be included in the US order bookings for the first quarter 2020.
Sandvik Materials Technology has received large orders for advanced tubes for the energy segment. The orders were booked in the first quarter 2020 at a combined value of about 630 million SEK, with deliveries scheduled as from the second half of 2020.
Metso has signed a contract for the delivery of a calcining system to a customer in Russia. The order value of approximately EUR 30 million has been booked in Metso’s Q1 2020 orders received. Commissioning of the system is expected to take place in 2023.
